    I'll take lucky!

I've been wanting to use a 70s vintage Weaver K4 that I recently bought so I mounted it on my 8x57mm. I also cleaned said rifle(horrors!) Well, I skipped bore sighting and fouled the bore at 40 yds with my current cb load (Lee 175gr/9.5gr Red Dot). Noting the windage was fine, the impact low, I decided to try my new fullpower load(170grSST/53grCFE223) on iron at 100 yds. Then back to 40 yds I used the picket point of the dual-x and grouped 3 more of the CB loads.
I never took off the scope caps.

I love it when it works out like that. Top of the spear point of the bottom post is dead on at 50 yds. with my 35 whelens light load when the crosshairs are sighted in 2” high at 100 for the full bore load.
    Lol, your good to go.

I like the tough simplicity of the steel K series. It is crystal clear, too.

Gotta love those Weaver K series scopes. Being lucky doesn't ever hurt either. Lol - Caster
In regards to shooting safety.Until you are ready to fire, keep your booger hook off the bang switch.
