Anyone here have one of these or any experience with handling or shooting one?
The local gun store has one in 9mm but I am more interested in a larger caliber.

I had one many years ago. It's "jumpy"? More recoil than the 9mm one I had (obviously). It's sharp, abrupt. Ya know, not the kind of thing where you don't want to shoot it because it kicks too much, because it doesn't. More the kind of thing kids may not care for. But gets your attention more than the 9mm.

They kind of rattle your teeth, because your cheek lays right on the recoil tube. I put a foam piece on mine, the stuff you use to insulate hot water pipes with, it helps but then its hard to see the sights . I seldom shoot mine, I think a 9mm might be more fun.
If you get the .40, make sure it takes the Glock mags, mine only accepts mags from some S&W .40 cal pistol, and only ten rounds.
The Sub 2000 works in 9mm its not really enough for the 40. I had a 9 and 40, the 40 went back to the factory after a box of ammo as it got loose, you could fold it about 1/4in when locked open. Got rid of it when it came back. The bolt is really not heavy enough for the blowback set up. They sell a heavier unit made from brass and may be enough for 9mm, not for 40.
40 is really pushing the limits of the design. Now it works fine in my Mechtech, but its much more substantial with a much heavier bolt.
I have one It works just fine. No problems with my gun at all. You don't need +P rounds to make a point with these guns as you are getting about 200 fps more velocity from the 16" barrel. Mine is reliable and hasn't caused any problems yet.
I am however waiting the the Ruger PC Carbine to be released in .40 S&W which will happen as soon as the sales for 9MM's slow down.

I like mine. It will gobble up the ammo though. 31rd South Korean Glock mags make for a fun shoot.
You can miss fast & you can miss a lot, but only hits count.
I have one in .40sw. I wish I had bought the 9mm. I like the .40 well enough and it is fun enough to shoot, but it does have a sharp bang to it. I'm pretty sure I would have preferred the 9mm since I bought it as a fun plinker.
On the other hand it's a pretty potent little package. It folds up into a tiny thing, and with the longer barrel the .40sw is ballistically comparable to a 10mm. So far I've put a few hundred rounds through it and it's holding up fine, but I am a little worried about long term durability.
I had to get rid of mine due to the NY Safe Act. One of the most "fun" guns I ever owned.

8 in the 10 ring, then I get a PING. Love my Garand.
I've been talking to others who highly recommend the 9mm over the 40!
I might just go with the 9mm. Sounds like a "funner" gun.

On a side note I would love to have one in 9MM. They are kind of snappy in the .40.

cabezaverde was kind enough to sell me his toy ...
With that it has been very enjoyable as I use one of Mihec's 40 molds that drops a 135 gr HP and custom load to my spec's.
A very dependable and fun gun and yes , one has to get used to it's quirks , tube stock and all but used with my reloads it has been very nice.
once again , Thank you cabezaverde !

How is the accuracy? Could you hunt small game with it inside of 50 yards?

Mine has a Red Lion front site and I slightly (very slightly..) enlarged the peep hole sight and am pleased with the accuracy it has .
Yes , with the right loads , small game inside of fifty with confidence.
Once again though the old saying that each gun is different from the next .... with that , you should develop your own loads for the performance of that gun.
