    Lee Bench Auto Prime?

Ok I finally had my first part break on my Lee bench primer. It's the plastic part that moves back and forth to control primer drop. This is the small primer adapter.

I noticed that this part is very poorly made with a ribbon type shape. I also noticed that the large adapter is not the same. The one in it is solid without the ribbon shape.

I'm sure I'm not the first person to have this break. What have you guys found to be the best solution?

Has Lee updated the small adapter to incorporate a solid part instead of the ribbon type?

    Thanks, Motor

for the hand primer yes. most likely is the same part. I broke the small primer on my hand primer, when it came in with the same solid part as the large.

I have had that exact part break 3 times when a primer gets stuck or if I am going to fast. Small Pistol primers.

    Lee will warranty it .

I actually repaired mine with super glue gel and so far it's holding up. You know this is typical Lee. They come up with a good design then blow it with cheap quality parts and materials.

I can’t argue w/ this. Lee doesn’t have to use the absolute best material for job and over build things. But they could spend a little more money and charge a little more money for their products. There’s a large gap between their price and the next company. I don’t think anyone would complain about spending a little more for a better quality part.

Mine broke right off the bat, Lee promptly replaced them with parts that work. Having said that, mine did not like Fiocchi primers.
