I went out back and saw that my wife's butterfly bushes had split due to the wind and rain. I went to the shed and got the loppers and started cleaning them up. When I got to the south end of the bushes I noticed that all of a sudden there were wasps everywhere. I backed up and watched, and still had a limb to take to the road. I grabbed it and looked only to find the wasp nest affixed to the limb. They were none on the nest or limb so over the fence it went. They probably never realized that I was a threat, but I'll wait to trim some more in a day or so to let them either calm down or move on.
