is there a formula that would give appx. alloy hardness without the use of a hardness tester. i mean by using the % of alloys involved (lead, tin, & antimony) i do have a LBT hardness tester; just was interested if there was a formula for such??

Up above there's a "Sticky" entitled Lead Alloy Calculator. It's simple to use and gives pretty good results.
