I put my pinky under the grip. You will get used to it, and I think it provides a more stable consistant grip. I can shoot both the plow handle and the bisley accurately, but for heavy loads I prefer the bisley. Make sure you check your throats. I haven’t seen one yet that were correct from the factory. I love my single action Rugers, but they usually take a little tweaking to get them just right.

Very nice...someday I may trade my Redhawk 44 Mag for a 45lc. I love the big bore...but the magnum is hard on my hands...and these hands are getting older now.

I am also in that group buy. I’m really looking forward to that one.

Yep, the Winchester 255 lead bullet is stated at about 850 FPS. You can go to about 9-950 within colt pressures with that bullet or lymans 454190. Plenty of power for most needs. True that be told I shoot far more lee 45-200 RF at 700 FPS with 700X powder in my colt cowboys with 5 1/2” barrels as that is my cowboy action load and it still knocks cans flying. Oh and very easy on the hands with recoil.

Check and see if a .452" boolit will go through the cylinder throats..
    Got a .22 .30 .32 .357 .38 .40 .41 .44 .45 .480 or .500 S&W cylinder that needs throats honed? 9mm, 10mm/40S&W, 45 ACP pistol barrel that won't "plunk" your handloads? 480 Ruger or 475 Linebaugh cylinder that needs the "step" reamed to 6° 30min chamfer?
