I use the 38-250D personally and think it is great.

I agree, I have a 285 grain bullet that is very similar and it shoots great. I was wanting a lighter bullet to try.Attachment 228498Click image for larger version.

I also have the Lee 375-250 rf which is similar to the 38-250 D and it shoots great also. Was just looking for a bullet in the 220 grain class.

gascheck boolit proly originally intended for the 375 Big Bore winchester - I have a similar one from CBE . Like the others I use a 250 gr in my 38/55 (LEE mold)

Be aware that the 375 Winchester bullets have a longer nose than 38-55 bullets and when loaded in the long 38-55 cases they will not cycle through the action well. You can deep seat them but have to watch for pressure spikes and crimping issues.
    FYI

I didnt measure it but the nose on that acurate boolit drawing looked long to me -- sold my 375 BB ages ago - had correct length cases for it so encountered no problems. Still have some gas checks and the mold

ID:	230854Cast some bullets, amazing how accurate this Accurate mould is. They all came out between 215-216 grains with check and lube. COWW+2% tin. Got 2000 fps with RL -7 easy and accurate. Can load much hotter but can’t see why I would. This bullet will be a deer slayer supreme. For moose I’ll stick with the 375499. Shooting a new Miroku Winchester Sporter. This thing is great, every mould I have tried has shot great.

    Goshawk,
What model is your new Miroku?
    94 or High Wall?
    Thx

Edit: Well duh, this is the Lever Action forum, must be a 94..
    Didn't know they made a Miroku 94 in 38-55..
