Like to find a high condition series 2 or 3 Sport model. Do not need boxed gun, but want 95% ++ condition gun with perfect bore and mechanics. PM info and I will provide email for pictures.

just out of curiosity, what kind of value would that gun have. I have one but it is not for sale at any price, it belonged to my grandmother and was her everyday carry, she even had a holster made that fit her new car(64 and a half mustang) so it would be handy on road trips. yes I still have the car as well.
if you are ever being chased by a taxidermist, don't play dead
Hard to value an every day carry gun. You might check Gunbroker and look for one in same shape as Grandmothers. Hope to find one in high condition, but don't need NIB.

A 95% postwar Woodsman, no box, on Gunbroker will run $500-750. With box $1000+
The ENEMY is listening.
HE wants to know what YOU know.
Keep it to yourself.
As with any classic, condition means a lot.
A local gun shop has a 1923 year pre woodsman for sale asking $995. It's a 6" barrel.
I was a dog on a short chain.
Now there's no chain.

Lots of fond memories of Petosky. Love MI Gold Coast Holland to Traverse City. Appreciate the tip, but want newer 4". Here in Flushing.
I have what you want but would only trade for a mint condition colt army special in 41 colt. I lucked out and got it at a auction for cheap. If your patient, you can find one for 500 on GB or auction arms. I understand the desirability for this gun as it balances, points and shoots wonderfully.
Go to simpson ltd he has a bunch of them for sale.
SM I can remember 50 years ago, as a kid, admiring a like new SAA in 41 in showcase at our old long gone Hubbard's Hardware store. Old school, don't throw out that great box & paperwork. Will check out Simpson. Thx.
A few years ago I sold a 2nd series match target 6" for 1300
Found one from one of major dealers. $700 + 30 shipping + 50 to my area FFL to receive. Top end of what I wanted to spend. Hopefully a nice one.
I picked up my Woodsman today and was very pleasantly surprised. Unmentioned by seller, the gun came in original box with instructions, warranty card, Colt coin screw driver, extra magazine and a brochure from the Ohio Gun Collectors highlighting a Woodsman collection being displayed at their show with this gun referenced by serial #. Gun appears to be as new and unfired in all respects. Could not be happier, but this still leaves me looking for a nice shooter.

Very happy for you. Very good pistol at a good price.
Thanks James. Could not be happier, but still need a Woodsman Sport shooter.
Found a shooter. Just need a couple extra Colt Woodsman series 3 .22LR magazines now.
