It's timing, being in the right place at the right time.

It's kind of a crap shoot weather you would get one that was used for production and possibly worn out and or with little use. Anyway, I will wait for a back ordered units. Star will have them in a week or so per my phone call to them.

I lucked unto my Star sizer for $150 from a guy that had a spare that he said he never even opened. When I got it it was in the original box with the newspapers packaged around it from the day it was shipped. I think it's the best piece of loading equipment I use, other than my Dillon 650.
Go ahead and run. You will only die tired

Hey Duke, I saw that price also. You and I must be on the same waiting list as I was told that they are making 100 more machines to keep up with the sales. In this day and time it would be nice to have a product that was in such demand. My wife and I have a drafting business in the housing market and we have been in dire straits for about a year now. Counting the days for my new star to arrive. I sold one in1993 for 75.00 with die!!

    Hello
Well I have paid 350 dollars shipping included
for a star lube sizer, die 357 and midway heat plate.
In Spain it is difficult for someone to sell one of these machines.
    regards
    Juan

You guys realize the original post was in 2008. Prices have changed quite a bit since then.

I recently bought a really nice one for $250. That was near the max that I would have paid as a new one is $338.

I found one today from a nice fellow that was retiring from casting, and it looked like it had been very lightly used during his time casting. It came with two dies and three top punches and he threw in several of his molds that he said he had no use for anymore, all for 200 bucks. Sweeeeet!!!
