My brother toppled this coastal blacktail within Sonoma County, northern California. One shot kill while hunting with his Marlin 30-30 carbine. Distance was approx 100 yards or so and great performance from an old hunting cartridge!

That's GREAT, I grew up in SoCal, can't hunt anymore.
But in my day I hunted from from San Diego Cnty up to Fort ORD.
AND that is a Fine Buck for the Coast.

Very nice buck, I lived in San Diego 16 years and hunted Fort Hunter Ligget for hogs and coastal black tails! Never saw one as nice ! Welcome to the site!
