I know next to nothing about bayonets, but I know some folks really get into collecting them.
Well, recently a good friend dropped off some parts, including what I presume to be P14 Enfield SMLE bayonets. Both blade type, and the spike or "pig sticker".
I'm sure I have seen the spike style bayonet on rifles in pictures, but I'm not familiar at all with the blade type. However markings on the blade types are like: No9 Mk1, and that screams .303 Enfield to me. Sadly I do not own a (.303 British) P14 Enfield or pattern 1914 Enfield rifle. I do have a couple of 1917's though.
Are these things desirable, or even valuable, or should I just keep an eye out for a friend with a .303 British Enfield, and gift them to him instead?
