Anyone know what kind of Gun this bullet mold would be used for?

Picked up some molds in a lot by on eBay and in the lot were 5 two cavity magma eng. molds dated May 1993 and say 332/RB they measure 0.62+- diameter by 0.54+- deep.
    Thanks

I will try to add a picture but it looks like it will cast a cylinder type bullet with slightly rounded edges almost like a wad cutter?

I'm pretty sure I saw those molds, and they looked to me like they were modified from round ball molds to cast some kind of core, maybe for swaging shotgun slugs?

Yeah I was kinda leaning towards shot gun slug as well but wasn’t sure.

If it were used for a shotgun slug would the lead hardness matter since most shot guns are smooth bore?

Also what do you think one of these molds would be worth? Thanks

As a core mod for a slug yes, because generally swaging is limited to soft lead.

Not a lot to most folks I would guess. I think someone on the site here had some similar molds for sale at less than $20 each, and I'm not sure if they sold.

So when you say core mold your referring to making a jacketed bullet for a shotgun? That would be pretty cool. I have swaged 9mm brass and cast lead 9mm bullet into a 40cal hollow point bullet it takes some force can’t imagine the set up to swage a 12 gauge lol.

Sorry, got hit by the hurricane, still without power, but trying to catch up a little bit sitting in a parking lot...

Probably not a jacketed slug, but I'm using the term core to indicate the unswaged lead 'slug' before it takes shape.

Agree ... there is no 0.332 RB (Round Ball)
