I think that's a pretty good idea. Where are you going to get one?

You will only be able to shoot the spec 1 ammo out of it but it is still a good gun.

I would love to have one but they were only produced for a short time. Richard Venola reviewed one for G&A magazine and it got high marks.

Take it with you next trip to range please and give us a report. The 6.8 is a good hunting cartridge and the Mini shoulders like a carbine should.

Love the 6.8 for hunting. I have used one of mine (I have had several) on mule deer, Whitetail, antelope, coyotes, and small varmints. If it's accurate use it. The little 6.8 kills better than it should

we've shot 7 deer with a mini in 6.8 awesome gun! most shots were pretty close shots on moving deer and all were one shot stops these things are awesome snap shooting carbines. 6.8 will make believers out of people who think you need a magnum to kill little old whitetails

Although I no longer own one the 6.8 is a great round. The sale of that upper purchased a custom Encore barrel in 6.5 CM.

6.8 works well as a hunting round. I've been hunting with a 6.8 AR for 3 years now. It's put one buck and a dozen pigs in the freezer, one shot each. Bought a second 6.8 for my son to use. I use and recommend Federal Fusion 115gr. Palmetto has it on sale for $16.99 with free shipping for 5+ boxes. And Federal is running a $5 per box rebate ($50 max). Net $11.99 per box.
