Does any one offer a barrel blank for 44 cal with 1 in 18 or faster twist? I would like to put a faster twist barrel on my Henry.
Thank you.

err .....brass framed gun .......16 twist ........300grain plus boolit?
Have you seen one of these after the frame stretched from an overload?
They never work quite quite as nice after you get em unstuck and cycling again
just sayin ......... not a good platform for a hotrod ....be careful is all
I have a Green Mountain 1:20" twist finished to 26" length on .44 Magnum single-shot which stabilizes 300-grain cast bullets subsonic.

Indian Joe is absolutely right, don't hot-rod your Henry!
A nominal "case full" of 4198 or RL7 is as high as you want to go. Will shoot through a cow lengthwise.

Sarco has $45 SS 1:16.5" blanks

I've used a few of these 1:16.5" blanks. So far they've all been able to get them to shoot under an inch at 100 off of a rest with a scope using 240gr XTP & 265gr FTX&FPinnerlock hornadys. I've shot Lee 310WFNGC mostly as plinking ammo with no load development so the groups were bigger which I'm certain is the fault of my bullets. I'm certain they're 2nds, but I got one to test something since it was a cheap blank and have been pleased enough with them that I'm up to 5-6 of them so far.
I also use and like the 1:20 GMB barrel.
I didn't expect much going when getting it, but they've been a pleasant surprise. After having some coffee I do remember a quirk about them. Using a pin gauge the bores have all been around .0015" tighter than the GMB blanks so you might need a floating pilot reamer and a smaller pilot. Still not as big of a change as going from a GMB blank to a microgroove blank, but it should be noted. Might be why they're cheap?
I don't plan on hot loads in my steel frame Henry 44 but after this year we have to use non lead bullets and they are longer and require a fast twist.
Thank you.

I don't recall the twist but GPC has/had H&RNEF .44 blanks for sale reasonable.
