A 16 inch medium sporter and a 28 inch sporter, for when the leaves are on or really late season when they are skittish.

My favorite small game rifles are a Remington Nylon 66 with a Leupold 2X scope and a Ruger 10/22 with a Leupold Vari X 2-7 scope. My favorite pistols are a S&W M63 and a S&W M631. I've killed a lot of cottontails and squirrels with them.

I have a new to me Savage 17 HMR and a Leupold Vari X 2-7 on it. It's a nice enough rifle but it's got a bull barrel and is a lot heavier than my usual rifles, it's going to take some getting used to.

CZ 452. My son took two gray squirrels at 100 yards with it in a five minute period. He was shooting across a pasture so it was easy to step off. My CZ 452, Ruger Mark II, and my Henry Golden Boy love CCI Stingers.

1969 vintage Browning T-bolt 22lr. Not a salt-wood gun......and in most excellent shape considering it's a field gun. Always been a tack driver, no matter how many thousand we seem to feed it...

Whatever is handy. Recently, it has been a Maverick 88 with 3" Steel BB loads to avoid depositing lead where the chickens scratch.

I prefer a 22 rifle, my only one at present is a marlin 60 from 73. I have better luck with a NEF pardner 20 gauge. The first one was lost when my house burnt but I found another and jumped on it a while back. I shoot the 870 better but it's heavy.

If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!
