    Hmmm
I've often wondered how they got the patent on the "safe trigger".

Being Revolver (IJ) vs Auto (Glock) the trigger safety has enough a difference between the two.

I would love to have a 'modern' K-frame size, six shot revolver in 32-20, or a Ruger Bisley in 32-20 as I have other revolvers chambered in 32 Long, H&R, and 327 Fed. I have considered having one built in 32-20 with a 5" barrel, Bisley grip frame and with adjustable sights. My eyes aren't what they used to be and those fixed sights on some revolvers are just hard to see.

You guys and your .32 porn! I carry and shoot on a daily basis a Colt Army Special 1915 vintage and/or an Uberti 1873 in .32-20. As nice and potent as these are, I sorely wish I could find a late model heat treated Smith in .32-20. You have also got me to coveting a goot .32 S&W Long top break. .32 porn, blast your eyes.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the trouble with many shooting experts is not that they're ignorant; its just that they know so much that isn't so.

Here is mine. It started out as a .32 H&R, but I had it rechambered to 32-20. Very accurate. One of my favorite guns.

    Harry O,
That is a nice K frame, I would like to have one-- it's too bad that S&W or Ruger don't offer some chambered in 32-20. The Ruger GP-100 with the 5" half lug bbl would make a good candidate. Thanks for posting, I like to see those .32s!

If we’re playing “show and tell” I’m certainly game. I have been using .32’s for a long time. Currently, there is my 631 - a delightful “.32 Kit Gun”. It has done great work on the bunnies and is a joy to carry:

Then, there is my 16-4. It is extremely accurate and a joy to shoot, both in the field and on the range:

My latest is the SP101. It shot extremely well, but didn’t shoot to the sights (adjustable for windage only). I had
a Red Dot sight installed, along with a trigger shoe, and had a trigger job done. It is now a VERY desireable little piece. I recently gifted this to my grandson in SLC:

All of the above are chambered in .32 H&R Mag. My most used load is the NOE version of the RCBS 98 gr. SWC home cast bullet at 850-1000 fps. This load shoots extremely well in all of my platforms and works well on small game, too.

    Dale53,

Those are nice! I also use that same NOE version of the RCBS 98 gr. SWC in my .32s, that little boolit is hard to beat.

I might mention, the S&W New-Model-16 Masterpiece (K-frame) has the exact right length for rechambering from .32 H&R Magnum to 32-20. Mine has a 1.568" long cylinder (not countersunk). My 32-20 handloads run from 1.535" to 1.580" OAL. With a 0.064" rim (newer brass; older is somewhat thicker), that leaves the length inside the cylinder 1.471" (1.535"-0.064"=1.471") to 1.516" (1.580"-0.064"=1.516"). This means the front of the bullet is 0.091" clearance (1.568"-1.471"=0.091") to 0.052" clearance (1.568"-1.516"=0.052") to the front of the cylinder. Plenty of clearance.

I also have an early model Ruger Super-Single-Six .32 Magnum. The cylinder on that is 1.405" long (also not countersunk). It is too short for standard 32-20 ammo. However, the Ruger SP-101 should work for rechambering. The one on my .32 H&R Magnum is the .357 Magnum length cylinder. I never bothered to do it because the S&W does everything I want and more.

Note: The 32-20 case reamer does not completely clean up a .32 H&R Magnum chamber, but it is not very noticeable, does not affect accuracy, and does not seem to reduce the case life. I am not sure what it would do in a .327 Magnum cylinder.

    Bones37;
We are certainly in agreement. I have had my 631 and 16-4 since they were first introduced. That is after looking in vain for an affordable K-32 for many years. I almost broke my arm reaching for my wallet when the 631 and 16-4 hit the market! I have NOT been disappointed...

    Dale53,
I was too young to buy when those were introduced, but now that I'm older, I've become smitten with the .32s. The 631 and the 16 bring some serious money these days!

Wish I had picked one of those 16s up when they were readily available. These scratch the itch for now, a 31-1 was my first find, then finally found a resonable single six, then the sp101 327mag fell into my lap, and the most recent is the little Rossie 69. Love the little 32s!

That sp101 is the first run, like the op's, it has a "new" brass front sight so I could get it to come down to poa at 25 yards. Was 8 inches high if memory serves. Load it with 311313 to 1000fps with 231 generally. Accurate, not terribly loud, but heavy in the pocket. Cool gun that won't be going anywhere without me!

That crafty old Norwegian, Iver Johnson did build such a treasure. Built on the larger frame, as used for the 5 shot .38 S&W, it is instead set up for 6 rounds of .32 S&W Long. Here is mine:

Glock stealing Iver Johnson's safety trigger idea wasn't the only thievery going on. Look closely at the transfer bar in the last picture. It wasn't Bill Ruger who came up with the idea of "Hammer the Hammer."
