    Funny headstamp 9mm

I am processing brass I got a year ago and came across a bunch of black cases.
These are once fired police range(supposedly)
I ran them thru the processor and sorted them out prior to the final tumble used to get the case lube off.

They are nickel plated cases but they are black.
I can rub them and they start to get back to nickle.

    Any clue what they are?

I have been finding a lot of those and Browning 40 and 45. When I found my first one I thought it was some Arabic language, until I turned the case and saw recognized the Browning Elk.

I have several in 40 and they have held up well. They are very slick and they feel good in the sizing die. I like them alot.

I've seen that headstamp on yellow brass 9mm just recently. No nickel, though, in 9 or any other case, neither black nor bright.

Took me some time to figure out that mess of curved lines was the Browning stag.

The headstamp on 9mm Egyptian ball looks similar.

On the bottom of the box it will probably say Made in the Czech Republic or Made in Serbia if I was guessing.

Wrong again. It says made in USA on the box I examined at the LGS today. Since Browning and Winchester are owned by FN, I'm thinking this is Winchester loaded ammo. I love correcting myself.
