AR15 question... regarding 223/5.56/223 Wylde barrels.

So, I am late to the game. I will be getting a good basic mil-spec AR kit next week. The included barrel (all PSA) is a 5.56 1:7 twist with a mid-length gas block. I doubt I will try cast in the 1:7 barrel, but will let the kids shoot it with my bulk handloads. I do intend to build a cast upper, likely over winter and will be ready to start testing in the spring. I will try to find a 2 stage trigger, an adjustable gas block (Odin) and a more suitable barrel. There in lies the question...

I would like to find a 1:10 twist 18 to 20 inch with a rifle spaced gas block port. I am sure I am not the first to look for this, but I know there are folks here who have already done this... What is a decent barrel manufacturer for a barrel like this?

How about something even a bit slower?

Check out Green Mountain Barrels. I've got three of their 18" SS .223 Wylde chamber, rifle gas length all with different twists ie 1:14, 1:6 and 1:5. Haven't mounted the 1:5 yet but the other two are tack drivers.

What weight bullet are you using in the 1 in 5 ?????
I know it is a length issue, but weight often = length.
    Regardless, I am interested

I have White Oak Armament upper with a 1/12 twist barrel. It's a tack driver with the Speer and Sierra 52 grain hollow points. Haven't shot cast in it yet though.

My long range bullets currently are Sierra 77 gr Matchkings and Nosler 80 gr BTHPs. Want to try some of the 90s that are made for the .224 Valkrie. Just not home enough however.
