Question Grip Queation for the El Malo

I have always loved the SAA colts but would instead go with the stronger Ruger blackhawks. But I recently ordered a Cimarron El Malo pietta clone In 45. I couldn't resist the octagon barrel.
I will want new grips for this and am unsure exactly what to order in regards to generations or if it even matters. It is listed as a prewar.
Any Ideas, or thoughts? Thanks in advance...Buck

I'm kind of partial to the smooth walnut grips that come on these pistols, and a couple of mine have come with checkered grips. Whenever I do go looking for replacement grips I've found that if you supply all of the information as you've done above, i.e. Pietta, El Malo, prewar grip frame, you'll usually get exactly what you need from custom makers like Altamont.
