These molds were designed for the M-1 Carbine, so it is hard to go wrong.

Bumping this thread since I have a similar question.

I am asking about the Accurate 31-110JZ. It looks pretty much like the bullet asked about at the beginning of this thread but has no lube grooves. I'm thinking it would be a nice bullet for powder coat.

I cannot contradict Mr. Gibson...the 311359 is a great choice (I use it myself) but I also have, and prefer, the Lyman 311576. It's a 120gr RN designed specifically for the Carbine. Function is perfect and as above, with the proper velocity, it shoots POA with my jacketed loads.

311576 won't be easy to find. It hasn't been produced in a long time.

Probably a reasonable facsimile to the discontinued Lyman bullet:

NOE makes his own version of the 311465. How does his compare to the original?

The bullet's length appears good and it should seat to 1.68" easily. But will the small flat point cause feeding issues? Was the Lyman bullet also a FN or was it RN?

On a related note, the NOE bullet would probably make a nice HP mold.

You’re right. I posted a WTB and a member here and I worked a deal. If it wasn’t for this site, I’d probably still be looking.

The Lee C309-120-R is pretty close to a direct copy of the 311576.

I have both PB versions of MPs 314-640 mold for the 32's; the one I use for a 30 carbine is the 115 grain, which cast of my alloy and using a standard hollow point pin, runs 116 grains. After powder coating, without a gas check, it mikes about .315, but sizes very easily to.309, without distorting the configuration. Sized, and powder coated, is the nearest thing I can make at home to the Speer Varminter, which was so popular decades ago in that caliber. It feeds extremely well in my old my rough unmodified carbine, as well as two fairly picky Ruger 30 carbine revolvers. No issues whatsoever with leading the gasport, and although I have not tried it as extensively as others posting here, I also really appreciate the fact that it feeds through the Mr Bulletfeeder without issue both for resizing, and for reloading.

The main reason I decided to post it here is that the thing is on sale and in stock on his website with a 20% summer discount.

Is that the same as this bullet?

That bullet looks very much like the 100 grain version that Mihec also manufactures. I have found it to be pretty good in 327 Federal and 32 h&r, as well as 30 carbine although I like the heavier 115 grain in the 30 carbine. I'm not certain that it is the same bullet but it certainly looks a lot like it. With powder coating, I have not found it necessary to use and especially hard alloy, although I could understand doing that if you are driving them at m1 carbine velocities

I was thinking the same thing... that bullet sure does look familiar! My Mihec mound drops them just enough over 313 to clean up nicely in my Lyman sizing die in that size... runs about 105 gr in my alloy of mostly COWWs with a % or two of tin to cast smoother. I’ve never owned a carbine or loaded for one, but I love it for 32 revolver cartridges of various lengths.
