    480 Ruger loads

I have recently obtained a 480 Ruger Red Hawk pistol with 7.5 inch barrel. I have two molds for it a 325 grain GC and a 400 grain PB. Both are Lee molds. I would appreciate info on powders and loads for these two bullets if anyone has any experience with them. Thanks in advance for any help offered.

I had an RCBS 400 gr. SWC pb that I used to shoot when I had my SRH. I had a 2x Leupold on it and hitting clay targets @ a measured 100 yards was easy. I believe I got my load from a two book set from one of RCBS' parent companies.

Did I ever mention that I hate to trim brass?

The 400gr Lee shoots well in mine. I did have the cylinder worked over by Doug Guy and eases loading the larger rounds significantly. I’ve always used near max Loads of H110/296 and had great results.
