    Kydex Holster

    I recently got a Kimber Custom II .45 auto. I bought a OWB Kydex holster off the internet. Well, I don't have a problem with weapon retention. The holster is so tight that I have to take the holster off and use two hands to draw the gun. Is there a way to relax the holster ? heat gun ? silicone spray ? Thanks, Ron

    If there are screws that hold it together, you usually can just unscrew them & then set the tension to where ya like it.

    I have 4 of them from Concealment Express https://www.concealmentexpress.com/?...ap&ref=yotpo_8 , and am very satisfied.

    2 of them are IWB right hand carry since I am right handed, and I bought 2 that are left hand carry to carry them OWB if I choose. { one set for a 9mm & the other set for a Govt. 45}
    But they all are adjustable for fit. They also have a "lube" they sell, but I have not had the need for it.

    If yours doesn't have any adjustment with screws, perhaps contacting the manufacturere & asking them about it might be a good idea.

    I have a couple that were not adjustable. If they are to tight you can warm the material with a heatgun and insert the weapon a couple of times to relax the kydex. I have also made a couple holsters from kydex. I heat it and fold it carefully and then use a board top and bottom with high density foam and work it over with a rubber mallet when the gun is in it and this forms the material. You can do it over and over with smaller boards and less foam to do the fine fitting.
