Is there a H&G# for a .45 auto 180 gr LSWC similar to the 68 but thinner nose cone?

Looking for a H&G# for that particular bullet design. .45 ACP 180 gr LSWC, looks like and is claimed to be a modified H&G# 68. Quite a few casters make it but I have never seen a H&G# for it.

I think the H&G 130 is a 185 SWC it has a shorter snout. Magma makes a 2 cavity iron mold that shows 175 grains. Not sure that helps.

    I use a # 130 saeco to cast the 185 gr 45 acp quite a bit , I can't swear to it but I think it's copied from H /G .

Pretty sure it comes down to vintage. Several of the HG designs "evolved" quit a bit over the years...even though they maintained the same design #. I think they generally just kept tweaking the design throughout the years.

Maybe an S242? It'd be about 180 in wheel weights.

Many thanks for the input, gentlemen. FWIW, I have reloaded & shot the H&G # 130 "button bullet" since about mid '80's. It is my favorite LSWC.

Many thanks, again, gentlemen. This bullet configuration turned out to be a Saeco # 66

I have that mold and with hardball alloy they run about 170 gr sized & lubed. I never could see the justification for casting with pure lino. I need to try with some WW alloy and see
where it lands, you may be on the money with that weight.

I looked at the S242 profile and the nose cone looks shorter in height. The person that called that S66 mold has the mold and casts those bullets.

Lino used to be cheap and plentiful back in the day.

Magma engineering’s version of that bullet is described as similar to a Hensley &Gibbs 68
