Chill, there's so many variables and variations that it's impossible to document them all. I recently inherited a good collection of Ideal tools and stopped to talk to the one resident expert I know. He agreed with the above statement.
Then there's the Bubba factor that also must be considered.

I was in too much of a hurry last week, so here are some pictures of my set up for lubing and sizing the 311241 bullets cast with the tool. This is a 50/50 mixture of beeswax and Crisco. It solidifies immediately when you dip the bullet, and cools in a minute or two. I’m using an extra wide mouth jelly jar, and seal it up with a two part lip when the lube cools. Takes awhile to melt in the double boiler, but I’m going for authenticity not speed. Going to do 5 rounds each of 15, 16, and 17 grains of A2400 once my new front sight and 310 locking ring arrive. I Pre-heat mybullets on a flame then dip them.
Less wasteful of lube and the lube sticks on much better.
Or just Roll a heated bullet on the solid lube with the tweezers.
A tobacco tin of lube lasts a long time.

Sorry I am late to this excellent post. I would like to suggest that a taller front sight would cause your boolit to strike lower not higher as you stated. You have your rear sight "cranked all the way up.) That would indicate that you are shooting low. JMHO...Bobby

I have a 308241 Mold.
The first groove is the scraper groove.
2nd the crimp groove
Last 2 are the lube grooves.

Mine are about 150 grn and shoot well with 4.6 gns bullseye.
Seated to engrave the lands.
Be a good small game load.
Or anything you could poke one in the ear with.

Apparently it was supposed to be excellent for long range duck shooting.
