Lemishine's great for brass, just don't put iron / steel items in there.

acid removes rust really well.. remember what blue and blacking are...
Simple green will eat Alluminum. Do NOT use it an any or it will etch or eat it gone.
And more good information to keep in mind.
I did put some rusted iron/steel parts in Simple Green plus Lemi Shine, and it sort of cleaned things up. I wasn't terribly impressed. Although it would have saved some work if I had been trying to clean down to the bare metal.

I'm not big on reloading aluminum unless the apocalypse has arrived.
Yeah, I can't remember the last time I loaded aluminum either, but there are a lot of aluminum frame handguns that could end up in a sonic cleaner.
True, true, and I'd never do that either
ive tried lemi shine but couldn't get um,,, it to work like everyone else. Couldn't clean inside the cases, and the outsides weren't shiny like ive seen posted in lemishine soak cleaning.
I use a tablespoon of Lemi-Shine (or less expensive is just buy Citric Acid) an ounce of Armorall Car Washing Liquid in one gallon of hot water with 5#'s stainless medial pins. Some also add a cup of white vinegar to the mix, which does seem to speed cleaning up a bit. I wet tumble deprimed brass and they come out looking like new, inside & out. Wet tumbling is the only way I know of to get your cases completely clean, just soaking is not going to do it. An ultrasonic will also clean cases, but its more time & effort and does fewer cases. The car washing liquid will keep them shiney for a little longer than just using Dawn dish washing liquid, but they still will not keep the shine. To enhance and keep the brass shiney I tumble the cleaned cases in fine ground walnut with a little Nu-finish car Wax added to the media.
So it should clean hard water crusties from coffee makers then. Lemishine keeps the basic crud in suspension, does NOT clean 'lime' deposits very well. A dash of salt will help keep the pot clean, especially the Alum. ones.
Whatever!
