Cast boolits in a henry big boy?

Hi guys, do any of you shoot cast boolits in the Henry Big Boy rifles ? I'm not sure of the rifling type in the rifles and was thinking of buying a Big Boy in .357 magnum for pistol/rifle caliber long range competition in Cowboy action matches I attend. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks- Olfarmer

My brother has a big boy in 45 Colt. It shoots cast just fine. Lee 452-200-rf

My experience is also with a Henry in 45 colt. No problem with cast at all. Quite accurate. No leading with the combinations we were using.

I only shoot cast bullets in my Henry 45-70. They work great. Also shoot cast in a Ruger 77-357 and lots of different calibers of Handi Rifles. This is after all a cast bullet site. Hard to find a caliber or type of gun that someone here doesn't shoot cast bullets in. Get the Big Boy and join in the fun. Gp

My big boy in 357 Magnum seems to love the Lyman/Ideal 358-156 GC. I also have Lee 358-150 RN that works well in the Henry. I also have a couple old boxes of the Hornady 38 cal 140 grain "Cowboy" bullets (cast-- not jacketed) and they do very well in the Henry also.

Lead is all I shoot in my Henry BBS 45 Colt. Lee 452-200 rf an 255 rf. Use 50% coww, 50% soww, with 2 % pewter. No leading.

My 41 mag shoots them from 200 to 265 gr. Never had J words thru it. But then I don't have any of them either.

I shoot a BBS Carbine using RCBS 45-230-CM (sized .452) and Unique at 1120 fps. I get decent accuracy for plinking and absolutely no leading.
