34 years this Dec. 8. I had originally chosen Dec. 7 but the future wife decided that I liked that day too much. When she remembered what day it was she was absolutely adamant that she was not going to be married on Pearl Harbor Day. Kill joy. Worked out, there is always a reminder of Pearl Harbor Day to jog my memory.
    Haven't missed an anniversary yet

Sister in law was married on Dec 7th, for her, it is a VERY suitable day IMO. I'll just stay away from the trauma and drama...

I tried the Malt-O-Meal thing yesterday. I used 5 grains of Red Dot Followed by the Malt-O-Meal, and then plugged it with candle wax. If I had annealed the old brass That I Used first, my failure rate would not have been 50%. The three brass that formed correctly actually look pretty good. 30-30 to 38-55; fired straight up. That cereal scrubbed the bore pretty good too haha.

Ant type of grain that is ground for livestock feed should work. I have used the leftover from making ethanol out of corn.

It was found along the road leaked from a truck hauling the product to a farm.

OH ! yes it does make the barrel look shiny . I always clean well before firing regular loads in case something was left in the fire forming.

I know this is late but generally if you're not using new or once fired brass you need to anneal. When I blow out 30-30 for my 375 Win. I use cornmeal with a wax/bullet lube plug and 6-8 grains of Red Dot or similar. My success rate is nearly 100% but I use once fired brass.
    Take a kid along
