Adjustable Sight for SAR B6P

I recently purchased a SAR B6P and I really like it. It groups well for me. but the shots are about 4" low at 25 yds. I would like to install an adjustable sight on it, but there doesn't appear to be one made specifically for it. I am wondering about one for the Beretta 92 it appears to me like it has possibilities. it appears to sit on top of the barrel with no relief cuts. A CZ or Witness wouldn't fit, at least without a fair amount of mill work, which I would like to avoid if possible. If anyone has both the SAR and Beretta, or are familiar with them both, I would certainly value your opinion.

Have a Beretta 92fs that came with standard non adjustable sights. That got old very fast. Bought a LSA adjustable rear sight from Brownells that is made for that model. You get to use the factory front sight (made as one piece with the slide) and with some slight stoning on the LSA dovetail fit snugly and tightened up the set screw. No alterations needed to the Beretta. Haven't had to adjust it since the initial sighting in. Hope this helps. Frank

Thanks Frank, Does that rear fit entirely on top of the barrel, or is it inletted some what, if that makes any sense. On a Witness it sets lower by a few thousands of an inch.

I own 3 B6P's, and fortunately they all shoot to point of aim.

I do remember talk on another board about putting adjustable sights on, but most guys didn't want to stick that kind of money into this price point of a pistol.

That being said, I think it was some LSA sights that were the closest to working with the dovetail. But be warned that the Turks made their own angles in the dovetail so fitting is required.

If it will fit, Beretta, lists an LPA for around $60, I wouldn't mind that so much. I am a tight sucker, but the pistol seems well made, and in the end, to my thinking, all it does is throw lead down range. Hopefully at what I shoot at.

My sights arrived today, I immediately installed one on the SAR, it went on easily, a slide fit in the dovetail. I'm not real happy though. The sight only has about .020 inch vert. adjustment, 1 turn or less on the adj. screw, and at the highest setting is still to low for my pistol. actually about the same height as my old sight. I can, and may, file off the bottom of the elevation screw allowing for a couple more turns or so. If that isn't enough, I might fabricate a taller rear sight plate and JB weld it to the rear surface of the sight. The other Beretta sight I will attempt to install on my FEG 9MM High Power. I'll have to modify the dovetail on the sight, but it appears to be about the same height as the original.

Im having the same issue about shooting 3-4" low as well. I measured the rear height installed and got .240" +/-. When bore sighted, you have to line up the front sight to the top of the rear dovetail sight in order for the bore laser to meet front sight.

Now to clarify what you're saying here is you ordered a rear dovetail sight for a Baretta 92(fs) and it fit the dovetail nice and easy? I thought i'd double check before I start placing orders for random sights

Is there any reason you could not just take a little off the front sight and zero it that way?
