I have had nothing but bad luck with "lead free" primers.
I sure hope they improve the formulations as they will likely ban the good ones sooner or later.

But you can get the prices down to where a pound of powder or a brick of primers only has maybe 50 cents added on for shipping. Powder Valley will ship powder and primers together and up to 50 pounds. The savings can be worth the effort.
I believe it is 48 pounds per hazmat box but Powder Valley has a handy feature that lets you know how much room is left so you can tuck in one more pound of powder or box of primers. And max your card. LOL Hazmat $19.95 Shipping $19.95 spread over 48 lbs.....

Winchester Primers $28/1000 no tula but some at $25/1500

I run the numbers - powder prices, primer prices,Hazmat, and shipping - whenever Graf's, Midsouth, others send their sales, usually if I look at powder prices along with primer selection and price, I wait a couple months and make a big order to Powder Valley. I will order powder and primers with a note, then talk to the good folks to add stuff (powder, primers, percussion caps) until I run out of weight.
