    .25-35 wcf

If for some unknown reason you wanted to shoot 90gr. cast bullets in a .25-35 Winchester src, how in the world would you flair the case mouth to accept the boolit? The dies I have are relatively new RCBS ones. 8gr. of 4759 is the load I had decided on but loading my cast boolits has not been satisfactory. Thanks in advance for any information. Dr.C

    I would think a RCBS # 39809 257 Neck Expanding "M" Die (for 257 Roberts) might do it - Or a Lee # 90798 Universal Flaring Die?

I use an NOE expander button that works with the Lee Universal Expander Die.

I have these for every caliber i cast for and find them to be excellent.

While you are waiting for your M-die or NOE expander button to arrive, you can try flaring the case mouth with a tapered punch, 30-06 FMJ round , or needle nose pliers. The NOE expanders make bullet seating easy and precise.

Tap a nail set punch into the mouth,,lightly.
Most any tapered mechanics/machinests tool works.
I use a lathe center often on 38 and larger calibers.
It doesn't take much with the case(s) sitting on a hard surface, an educated hammer tap. You can jump from one to the next quite quickly and leave them done uniformly.

When I used to load the 90gr Lyman .257" fp in my 25-06, I only had to chamfer the inside case necks. I don't flare 30-30 or 8x57mm either.
