    the pointy 135 9mm......

not a lot of testing, but in working up velocity, i did manage to make some random hits at 100 yds.
the good news is that the pointy boolit doing less than 1000 fps at 12 feet from the muzzle put nice round holes in the paper.......no stability issues from my handgun....a cz 75/85.

    Hi Mike,
What was your powder & load & OAL to gain that near 1000 fps? My initial try was with 2.9 grains of Unique the results were not worth elaborating on. I am going to bump it up to 3.2 gr. and see what happens.

aa5....put enough in to get to 1000 fps......oal puts the od of the boolit very close to the case mouth.

American barrels usually have 1 in 16, imports usually have 1 in 9.

    Hi Calvin,
I am shooting a 5" Springfield 1911. They told me the barrel in my gun is 1 rev. in 10". This is the second time I have heard 4.5 Unique as a load. I may load some of those up too. Thanks for the info.

    Gene,
Did you not get the letter with loads listed on it for that boolit? I sent a letter with a chart of loads that should work well with that boolit weight. If you didn't get it, I'll e-mail you a copy, if you send me your e-mail.

    Thanks,
    Mic

Using OAL of 1.14ish i worked some inital loads up to run through a g17 with an extended lonewokf barrel (for threads). All lubed with lars red.
best of the bunch so far:
3.6g Titegroup 998fps ave, good accuracy
2nd tier in accuracy and feel:
    4.3g Unique 1011 fps
    3.1g clays 961 fps
    3rd tier accuracy
    2.9-3.0 clays 940 fps

I had been loading the clays in 45acp and just tried it for grins. I was too conservative in the load i think as velocity was slack and accuracy was terrible.

I loaded up the balance of the casting run with the 3.6g titegroup load and have been drawing the supply down avery week or so and trying to get a feel for where i want to go from here. It is "adequate" for a plinker but i feel like i can find something with a better feel for my shooting style.

Note: This bullet feeds flawlessly as intended.

shot these again from three guns....just looking for about 1000 fps in the cz's.
h2o dropped ww poured at about 750 degrees, wsp primer,n320 powder at 3.5
    and 1.150 oal. felix lube

they did 1042 fps from both my nra action pistol and a stock cz 75.

    a marlin 9mm camp carbine(16" bbl) 1167 fps

the carbine did well at 25 yds, ok with the 2 cz's.

i consider 25 yds long for a pistol.........yes the do well but if the bad guy is 25 yds away...why am i shooting...where is the threat ?
if they are attacking....carbine or shot gun.....
(yes i shoot further in compitition)

    just me

    Load Data

Can I get a copy of the letter that MakeMineA10MM sent on this mold. Mine has sprouted legs and ran off. Tried to contact MakeMine, but no response as of yet.

    Thanks

Hi Don. Was it the chart with the loading data you were looking for?

    It's sent.

For all of you out there shooting this boolit, take a gander at the latest Hodgdon Annual Manual, or their free guidebook, as they've got honest-to-goodness load data for the 135gr Lead boolit in there now!

    Hey Makeminea10mm,
I really need to post some pics of groups.. with that said, this is definitely a 'mikey' bullet ! It feeds in any and every gun I've stuck it in ( even a kel-tec .380 but don't tell anybody about that ).. Even works flawlessly in a 1922 very finicky luger ! Great design !
Thanks again for coming up with this critter and ramrodding through the deal !
    Stay safe

Thanks Calvin. I'm glad you like it, and that it works so well for you. I knew it would be a winner.
