    If you had only one!

So if you could have only one boolit mold what would it be and why.
This is not a cartridge specific question.
For me a oversized 255 keith would cover 45 acp auto rim and 45 colt maybe even a lite loaded 45 70 just a thought!
    How about every one else.

I have a brass 4 cavity Accurate mold for 44 mag that had two cavities that are 43-240 A and two cavities that are 43-240 AG.
    That mold is magic.

That is not a fair question. That's like asking if you only had one press... Welcome to the board.
There is a reason for all the molds, they each have there application. I have three molds for my 44's one for pistols and two for my rifle. Could I get away with one, I guess but dang that 300 grainer sure puts a whampin on the shoulder.

Elco 358 155 from NOE. I love it in my 9mm and I'm sure it'd work in 38 special. Of course I'd have to buy something in 35 Whelen for rifle use.

With all the 30s I own it would be the Lyman 314229. Now don't limit me to one sizer!

I've been using the same Lee 150 grain 358 swc mold for 30 years and it casts beautiful accurate boolits so I guess that's the one.

I couldn't manage that. One would have to be a Lyman 311116. One would have to be a Keith style 429xxx and one would have to be some wad cutter variation for .38.

Not sure how I'd handle bullets for my old 25-20WCF, 38-55 and 45 ACP out of only one mold.

I'm not familiar with the 30 caliber mould you mention. Could you mean 311316?

I might not be happy, but I could get by the best with the little Lee .314 90 gr tl truncated cone.

    I shoot it in .32sw long, 7.62x25, .30-30, 7.62x39, .300BO, 7.62x54r
3 pistols, a win 94 lever, and 3 handi rifles and a pair of Mosin Nagants. Not bad for one little 2 cavity mold. Wish they offered it in a 6 cav.

That one gives me the most options.

well, I guess I can buy most every J-word and commercial cast bullet I need for all my guns, except one...so I'd have to choose the mold I use for that one, NOE 270469 (149gr RN Loverin) for my custom Jap Type 38 in 6.5x257R.

I had TWO molds when I started! I reload for something like 18 calibers and cast for all of them. Pick one? That's like saying which hair on my head do I want to keep. BOTH of them!
But if, under penalty of death, I could only have one, it would be my MP 359-640 L. That would serve my 9mm's, my 38's and my 357's.
But one mold? Heck, I've even had two wives..Multiple molds turned out better for me. YMMV.

If I had only one mold I would be limited to one load and mebbe just one gun. If I were limited to one mold per caliber/cartridge that would be better but still to "confining". Sorry, I can't honestly answer.

If in a SHTF situation I would choose a .44 caliber Ranch Dog RNFP of 240 gr. to be fired in my 629 (or Dan Wesson, or Ruger SBH, or Puma...)
