I need the help of a powder guru...

Well, I just ran out of the last of my H4227...

Does anyone make a similar single base powder? Surplus powder maybe? I'm trying to avoid using IMR 4227, as my experience with that has been less than satisfying...

Or does anyone know of a US stocking dealer for ADI AR2205?

    Question

Not sure , but I have read several places ONLINE ( so it must be true ) that Hodgdon is only importing one
Don't remember if it is the IMR or H 4227

And just putting it in both brands jugs

It is all H4227 now, even though it says IMR 4227 on the bottle.

Internet rumor has it that the old H4227 is being re-badged as IMR 4227. Real world indications suggest that is not true; current bottles of IMR 4227 say "made in Canada," the longtime address of IMR powders, and a statement on the ADI website says their AR2205 has been changed so that its color matches that of "the rest of the ADI product line," not something they would do if they were still shipping powder to Hodgdon.

I could, I suppose, try some of the 'new' IMR 4227, but my heart has been broken so many times before...

    Try this phone number: 913-362-9455

It's Hodgdon Powder Company. They might know something about it.

Buy the best, and cry at price, and then be happy: N120. Use same loadings as 4227. ... felix
