Thinking of getting a 625, but I don’t want another .45 ACP with huge chamber throats like my 25-2.
Anybody know about what the current factory throats are running? Are the the same on the PC and JM versions? I know the PC has a shorter cylinder.
While on the subject, any thoughts on JM vs PC, besides the girly grips on the PC?
I cannot compare the two, but will say that my 625-8 JM Special is one if the most satisfying revolvers I have owned, and I have owned and shot a BUNCH!
I have measured several of them and all have perfect throat size of .4525”. Mine will shoot well under an inch off a rest.
My 625-6, Model of 1989, with 5” barrel also has perfect throats.
I can recommend either without reservation.

A few days ago I acquired a 6-1/2" S&W Model 25-15 revolver in 45 Colt. The chamber throats are uniformly 0.4525" in diameter.
