Wanted: 45 LC Shot capsule load data

I have some Speer Plastic Shot Capsules in 45 LC. I have access to the Speer Load Manuals 12 and 13. Neither has loads for 45 LC.
I seem to remember the latest Speer manual saying that they could be loaded the same as the same weight bullet. The capsules hold about 158 grains of #9 shot.
Any help is appreciated.

Fill one capsule with your preferred size of shot and then weigh it on your scale. Use the starting load data for that weight bullet or the closest to it and you're all set. More velocity will not help your shot pattern in my experience. And use #12 shot if you have it.

My go to in that capsule is 7.5 of Unique, plenty of punch at snake range and mild on the gun.

My notes show the following is Speer 45 Colt data with the aforementioned shot capsules.

Bulleye 5.5 grains for a velocity of 875 fps
Unique 7.5 grains for a velocity of 975 fps

In my experience patterns are better with lighter charges. I load 5 grains of Bullseye in .45 Colt, .44-40 and .44 Magnum. D1C repair center inner ring is 4 inches, outer ring is 8", repair center is 11 inches square.

I did a few a couple of months ago using titegroup, I did 7 1/2 and 9 shot over 3 grains of powder in 38 cal and 4 grains powder in 44 and 45 cal

When fooling around with those shot loads at close range, wear safety glasses. On the 7 yd. range, I had some shot bounce back off the target frame and a piece stuck just under the skin. This was using the Speer recommended load. Those old target frames were probably made from left over scraps from Noah's scrap pile.

I also had better luck lightly filing an “X” pattern on top of the capsule to help it break open after firing; the capsule already has molded scoring there, but it needs a little help.
