    Clean between cast/lubed and cast/PC?

When switching from J-Word to cast/lubed it is highly recomended you clean down to bare metal and vice versa going from cast to J-word.

Do you treat the barrel the same when switching from cast/lubed to cast/PCed?

I hear tell that you should clean between J words and cast. But i dont shoot a lot of jacketed only some here and there so i dont. I will run a bore snake down it when switching.

I do not clean between PC and Lube.

Never had a problem with accuracy.

I don't clean that much with either J, lube or PC. Think about this, I run a copper gas check on over half my bullets. Am I shooting cast or copper ? Have also heard folks say to shoot a few jacketed after shooting cast to clean the lead out. Key is bullet fit IMHO. I have yet to lead a bore with one of my bullets.

MyFlatline - Even with the gas check you are shooting cast - due to the lube.

Rcmaveric - I see a big difference with cleaning the results of Copper/powder fouling I when I switch to cast and the same when I switch from cast to j-word with the lube/powder fouling. Running a bore snake down the barrel does not remove all the lube/powder fouling from a cast bullet.

Shooting pistols you may not see much of a difference but when your are shooting a rifle - I know there is a big difference in 100 yard group size.

For my own piece of mind - I am going to clean my rifle down to bare metal before I shoot PC'ed bullets.
