Handle for a vintage Lyman Turret press

I pick this up on a whim. I can move the turret manually but there appears to be a 1/4 inch hole on the turret. How hard to fashion a handle for this device?

Well, you can get a 1/4-20x6" bolt and screw it in the turret. Or if you're handy you can get a 1" plastic ball with a 1/4" threaded hole in it at your hardware store and a 1/4" rod a few inches long and thread both ends...

You might ask Lyman whether the handle you're seeking is the same as the one used on the T-Mag [turret] press. If so, you'll know what to do.

“I have this old Ford sedan and wonder if I can get parts for it?”
    “It’s black.”

You really need to be a little more specific. A picture would help, as would a more thorough description. Then again, you might want to post this whole question in the Reloading Equipment page where this kind of thing is discussed in detail... this page is more for tong tools and Lee Loaders. Just a thought.

I have a old T press also and it is not like that is out there like today of Lyman. If I need some parts I see what will need to be done and then go from there. Like I did with my Lube Sizer 450 the handle threads got strip on me and talk with my gunsmith on it and he took care of the problem with me that another part can be made easy after. Like stated need to see photos of what is needed.

If it is orange with a black turret then it is the last of then Spar-T line, and it did not have a handle to turn the turret. If there's a hole in the side of the turret, you can thank Bubba for putting it there. Find any bolt as suggested above to use as a handle.

I used 2ea 5/16 18 x 4" bolts on my Spar T press to turn the turret, works great!
