    MMW,
We all have lives to live, vacating is important too. You shouldn't be responsible for other's actions when you have no influence or control.
Have a good time. Bring back lots of goodies for U & the box. (we hope)

Arrived yesterday! Sorry to report that the Starrett #721 Calipers are toast. Put new batteries in them, nothing happening. Cleaned contacts, etc., no joy. Will be leaving them in the box with the new batteries, someone with more organization and electronics skills might be able to fix it, though the consensus in the machining community seems to be it's cheaper to buy a new one. Starrett no longer repairs them. Be probably Friday before I'm ready to send the box on it's way.

Just a note to keep the books clean, on my turn with the box I retained the bags of .357 Sig and 9mm Brass to be given away at another time.

The bag of 9mm Brass, plus some from my collection of range pick ups, was given to a new reloader locally this morning to get him started.

Still need to get the .357 SIG brass out...

The slate is clean, the 357 Sig brass was shipped off to Chris S who in turn posted PIF.

On self imposed time out on the box for a bit...

What’s the status of the box? Is it still in circulation and if not who has it?

Indeed. PM on the 5th, again the 17th. Latest was Friday morning. His response "Hoping now to have it ready to mail Monday, but not betting, and not advising holding breath waiting, either."

You aren't the only one asking, so I'm answering here instead of individual PM's. I'm trying to put it back together with some good stuff, since I've taken several things out. I've missed several of my own deadlines here recently, so hesitate to put out another one just yet, but it will be out sometime this month. Ain't a lot of month left. SWMBO and I both have chronic health issues. Hers are worse than mine, and we've had our own COVID-19 scare here, fairly recently. Test was negative, so we're trying to catch up on a bunch of stuff. Among other things, I had to cancel one of my appointments to get my back worked on to reduce or eliminate severe back pain. The 2nd appointment was supposed to be the 31st of August, now that's the 1st appointment. She is looking at back surgery and a hip replacement.

The box was pretty well stuffed. I've taken several things out, so it's not quite as bad, but I think I'm going to have trouble getting in all the goodies I need to put in there. The bulkiest item is the holster. If someone wants that, specifically, I'd be happy to ship it to them by itself, just to have the space. It is an Uncle Mike's Sidekick 13 Scoped vertical shoulder holster. Doesn't look like it's ever been worn, though the buckle on the inside of back anchor is rusty. I don't have anything near big enough to fit it, and I think even the Dan Wesson .44mag 8" HVR bbl I used to have would get lost in it. It will fit in a SFRB by itself.

Well I would love to say the box arrived. Alas I must say Scrounge is a deadbeat. One month ago today, a long month at that, I requested the box. Six weeks ago he received the box. Quoting his post he put another deadline that passed almost a week ago.

I have been following his movements on the forum. He has had time to post each of the last few days. In my mind, that is time that could have been spent printing a label. It's the age of covid, you don't even have to leave your home to ship. The really sad part is I live about a six hour drive away.

So I don't buy any of his excuses. I would never throw my wife under the bus. Clearly his priorities to commitment are askew. I'm done with trying to get it from him. Anyone else cares to try, feel free.

And for the record I check my informed delivery daily. So I know he has yet to ship it out. I just let it go until today for the benefit of doubt. In summation a word comes to mind, PATHETIC!
