Any chance you have a mold for 40cal or a 452 mold between 250 and 300 grains?

I made a mistake. The three sets I have are 243, 270 and 30/06. Any way very sorry, but if you can use any of these your first. I was going off memory as I don't use these and my memory isn't what it used to be.

I don't have any 40 cal molds but I did get a 454424 lyman single cav mold in the auction box that I don't need. I haven't cast with it but google says it's a 230gr swc. Let me know if interested. I shoot 45acp pistol and 454 Casull in a puma 92 so I only have this one mold I don't need in 45cal. I use the Lee 45 300gr in the puma with good results at almost 2000 fps and it doesn't break the bank for the Lee mold.

I am looking for a mold for 454 casull, 460 s&w, and 450 bushmaster. Do you think it'll work at 450 and 460 velocity?

I already have 243, 270, and 3006 dies. So I’ll let someone else claim this fantastic offer! Thank you R Buck.

I don't think it would work well much past 1800/1900. It's short with not a lot of driving band so it may tend to strip in the rifling if launched to fast. PC might help but the 450 is capable of 2200 + and 2400 for the 460 and it's a swc which isn't the best for longer ranges. I use the Lee 230 TC in my 454 carbine at around 1200 which makes a nice plinking round that even the wife like to shoot. Haven't tried it at 2200 as I suspect it wouldn't work well either.

Well heck. I've only ever loaded 240xtp in 460 and 454 before but now they're upwards of $30/box locally. I'm currently loading 450 with a 230gr HAP just because I had them laying around for my 45 already. I saw Lee made the 454-300gc and thought maybe that might fit all thee nicely so it's been on my list. I don't actually have a 454 or 460 though, it's my brother in law's... So it's hard to develope a load for a new round when we might only shoot it once or twice a year.

I don't load for the 450 or the 460 but the Cassull is easy. The Lee 300gr and as much Lilgun as you can get in the case. Going off memory again, IIRC that's 31 or 32 grs and the Lee mold costs about the same as 1 box of the 240xtp.

Yes, that's why I wanted to start casting those. Just trying for a one mold fits all. Another guy here was telling me to GC and the PC in that order. Ive never used GCs before though so I guess I thought they went on after the PC. He had good logic though. I'll figure them out. If you run across a 40 mold I need on of those as well.

For what it's worth. What I learned from the box was the re-pack boxes are right near perfect for storing old sets of dies that have long since lost their original box. Two die rifle sets and 310 dies fit the 45 ACP box. I am going to order a bunch of the 45 Colt boxes to but my collection of dies in.

Thanks to everyone who made this possible.
    Ken
