Aguila STD Vel. From Ammomen or Targetsports it is nearly as cheap as any of the bulk stuff and, in my opinion, better.

I like the federal automatch the best, but my guns eat pretty much anything. I've got a few buckets of golden bullets for kiddo's and the wife since they aren't all that accurate to begin with .
My feedback page if you feel inclined to add:

Plinking = any ammo available. Cheaper the better in plinking don't care if it fails every 3-4 rounds to fire extract or whatever cause for it not going off.

It takes a second or to correct. Hitting what We are plinking at would take the worst in the universe ammo not to hit. No paper with scoring rings just fun stuff.

Go to serious targets or hunting or defense the ball game changes drastically.

Not a 41 MAG RF, but they do (well did) make a 41 Rimfire.

The boys gave me a bunch of Aguila 22 for xmas and I have shot a couple thousand rounds of it and only had one misfire and all though its not target grade ammo it is pretty darn accurate.

My guns prefer CCI HV if I can find it at a reasonable price (WM). If not then my go to is the Federal AutoMatch bulk boxes.

Love that little Smith. I had a model 422 that was one of the best .22 autos I've owned and I've owned a bunch.

Just picked up 325ct box of Fed Automatch for $14 a box with free ship over 5 from palmetto state. Ordered 20 boxes and will keep ordering as they will get stupid expensive again without a doubt during election time.

If anyone else finds good deals, would love to hear about them.

    NOT Remington Thunderbolt.

Shortly before the great increase in .22 ammunition prices, I bought 2500 rounds of Thunderbolt at a very good price. While the ammunition is reliable and sufficiently accurate for plinking, it is the LEADING-ist ammunition I have ever experienced. Cleaning the bore after shooting a box is akin to slugging the bore, in that the brush initially pushes out a sleeve of lead.

I had used this brand sporadically for years without such a problem. I don't know if I got a bad lot, or if quality deteriorated.

Whatever was on sale- never been to picky with plinking stuff. And luckily all my 22's aren't too ammo picky either.

I like CCI blazers, armscor, aguila, and remington golden bullets. Also aint had a problem with winchester 333s. The wildcats though left something to be desired. Ive found that recent federal made ammo to be of spotty sound and function in my model 60.

CCI Standard Velocity. CCI Mini Mag HP. CCI Mini Mag Solid. See a trend here? Also, Federal Auto Match, Aguila SE HV solid. Armscor HV HP. I have about 30,000 rounds of these and another 15,000 rounds of assorted other stuff. I am about 10,000 rounds light of what I like to have on hand, but I will fix that issue next Spring with my semi-regular Spring restock purchase.

    I was pretty excited too.

If anyone knows where there is a good deal on CCI SV by the case, I’m all ears.

I am a huge fan of Federal bulk boxes - be it 525ct boxes or the 325ct AutoMatch. Whenever things were scarce, I did manage to find some Remington bulk boxes. While they shoot well, they were dirty. Especially in the Model 60. I still have quite a few boxes of the Remington, but now stick to picking up Federal when I buy the occasional box.

I like CCI SV. I usually wait for Midway to put it on sale.
