We're about to move and the existing insurance underwriter won't write policies for the area where we're going. My current company, Safeco, had no restrictions on the amount of coverage (up to the personal property limits of the policy) on firearms like most companies do so I didn't need a rider. At the new house, even though the neighborhood is very nice, I feel like I should have some coverage above the homeowner's measly coverage. They will cover for fire since there would be remains but have a low limit for theft. I have safes but I don't believe they are theft proof.
Does anyone have an claims experience with any third party insurance companies paying on claims?
Thanks!
David
