    Satin Black shake N bake

I think I found one that works. Eastwood Satin Black Hotcoat. This was just a test batch with 60 seconds of shake n swirl no BBs. It's not flat black but it has the dull finish I have been looking for.

Boy those look good. Did they stick together when cooked? Any bare spots?
    At one with the gun.

I don't use a wire tray. I pick them out with a pair of needle nose and line them on a toaster oven cookie sheet lined with non stick foil. Every now and then I get a tiny scratch from the needle nose. I'm going try the latex gloves with a 50 round empty shell case.
I also tried the Yellow orange from Eastwood and it worked just as well.

Use Nitrile gloves, not latex. They work better ans if you do get a scratch, you can often just dab a bit of pc on the finger then touch it to the scratch to recoat the spot. In fact, I just don't bother with pliers of any kind and just carefully handle the bullets using the nitrile gloves. I seldom have any bare spots from handling.

I have good luck with Eastwood powder. The prettiest bullets I've coated so far were Eastwood mirror black applied with an electrostatic gun. So slick they were hard to pick up. Gp

Those are some nice looking bullets. Haven't had much luck with black, will have to look at eastwood. I stopped with foil with shake and bake, parchment paper works better if you shake. can get 4 uses out of 1 sheet. I only use foil if I spray. I use latex gloves, will have to look into Nitrile gloves

Did up around 400 today. These are Lee .401 145gr. Satin black seems to be a winner. As you can see it passed the smash test also. I used Nitrile gloves.

Try self locking tweezers, just dip the jaws in powder and you can even pick up sprayed bullets without damage. They are faster than any other method and I have tried them all. Tweezers allow placing the bullets in close together. Once you lock on a bullet the tweezers and bullet are now one, allowing to maneuver the tweezers in any position. Since I use a tumbler I dump several hundred bullets & BB's into a #5 plastic dishpan. The tweezers allow me to lock on a bullet in any position. I did grind down the nose on these some so I can lock into the bullet's bands. You can find these on Ebay, about $4 for a SS 6-1/2" tweezers.

I have used that method with fn 9 mm with great success. And you can get more on a tray.

Mold works great and weight is 144.8 to 145.3 out of 100. That is great for me. Haven't shot any yet.
