    New S&W Model 25 45 Colt

Has anyone purchased one recently? Are the chamber throats large, small, or just right?

I heard that about the Smiths in 45 Colt. 2 years ago I came into a 25-3, 125th anniversary Smith and got it without even checking. Turns out that the throats on it are perfect; .452- .4525, all six are good. the bore is .451-.452. Great cast shooter, I've never tied a jacketed bullet.

Is the groove diameter at the frame the same as further on down the barrel?
Just asking because of what somebody else ran into. I'd love to have one but don't.

The 25-3 is uniform the entire 6 1/2" length. S&W did good on the Anniversary model.

I got a 25-7 a few years ago and while I haven't measured the chambers it shoots like a dream. Out of all the revolvers I've got it is my favorite to shoot as it makes me look like I'm a shooter.
