One of the truisms here at CastBoolits is that a custom mold really only ever happens when enough people also want one.

Hoping that enough people want this one to keep it alive.

I know of 2 people that use a similar bullet in NRA Bullseye. Their accuracy is excellent. Would you give your load dats?

As an NRA Reloading Instructor, I am especially careful NOT to provide any data that could be mis-transferred or mis-used. I always suggest to my students to refer to their reloading data books, prepared by professionals whi scientifically produce the reloading data. And, in the rare instance that no specific data is provided for a given bullet, check with the POWDER manufacturer for that load data. In addition to the PUBLISHED data in the books, they also have the tools and experience to provide interpolated data that will keep you safe.

So, I refrain from providing any of my personal data, and would steer you to the powder manufacturers.

Please especially be aware that cast lead bullet data is very different than jacketed or plated load data.

I know you will be disappointed that I am not just throwing out numbers. However, I hope that you understand the importance of getting your load data from scientifically developed sources. While I am an expert in reloading, I am not working at developing (by testing) published load data.

If I didn't have a four cavity NOE in almost the same boolit I'd be all over this.

Bump to keep this one as an active discussion. We need a few more commitments.

    6 Cavity Aluminum
    W/lube grooves
    Plain Base
    alamogunr at charter dot net

If it will help this buy. I seem to be the only one asking for Brass.

This was a request from a CB member. It's a solid nose mold, but we need some action to get this in the production schedule.
Anyone interested in this light version (155 grains) of H&G 68 ? NOTE: The original H&G 68 mold is heavier than this design.

I had the original Lee group buy for this boolit.
It was wickedly accurate out of the 625 that my government took from me!

I own a Lee 2-cav version of this and nothing so far has yielded acceptable results. I have two guns that shoot sub 1" groups at 25y with H&G 68. They will not hold 6" with the 155 grain SWC and also get some feeding issues.

See my profile pic. I keep it as reminder to myself that one of the coolest designs has had the worst results.
I have the Lee mold, a NOE, and a NEI in the 155-160 range. All shoot quite well for me.

I used both starting book loads and light loads.

I have found that for some reason I need to run a slightly harder than normal alloy for these bullets or they will keyhole on me.

Miha asked me for a larger drawing, so that he can get started on a cherry. This is a nice solid nose, and so should go well once we move from the current sluggish pace. Once he gets the cherry made, these won't last long. So, asking for orders, please.
