Amen Brother! I love shooting 45's but HATE picking up brass. However my 325 Airlite weighs 20.5 oz's and that opens a whole new can of worms...

Hmmm...nice lookin' old gals for their age. Got a couple or few myself, and never stopped to think about them becoming centenarians. The clips were a great idea, as evidenced by the fact that they still make revolvers that use them. It is nice not to have to chase the brass, and the system makes for very fast reloads. Here's one.

So, where do you purchase these "Clips" to hold your 45 ACP rounds? I have a pre-WW-II Smith and Wesson military in 45 ACP that is tough to get the casings out of after firing them.

There are many sources for the clips. Try Midway USA, Brownell's, Dillon. They pretty much come in two flavors, half-moon clips that hold 3 rounds, full-moon clips that hold 6 rounds. There are some that hold 2 rounds, but they're pretty much used in matches.

I ended up trading mine off, just more recoil than I could take for an SD gun.

Maybe better-fitting grips where the wood actually meets the back strap at the top. The Ahrends grips feel good till you shoot with them and that skinny, bare back strap chews the web of my hand.

50 rounds of rapid for was all I could do before the web of my hand was too bloody to go on. My splits were absurd compared even to a K-frame magnum.

I’m sure I could’ve worked it out eventually, but just too many other priorities and limited range time.

All that said, I’m right there with y’all on the .45 ACP revos. Still got my 25-2 and 1917, and a 625 in the not too distant future.
