    WTS: Mil surp powder

for pickup in Glencoe, MN 55336 only.
I can not ship these items.

    1. gallon sized jug of IMR7383 (7 lbs) $50
    2. gallon sized jug of IMR7383 (7 lbs) $50
    3. gallon sized jug of WC857 (8 lbs) $70

Bought from Jeff Bartlett (gibrass) in Jan 2015
I'm never gonna use this stuff, so I may as well see if anyone local to me is interested in it.
The prices listed is less than I paid in 2015 and Jeff's prices have increased since then...So I gonna stay firm on these prices.

As in other years, I will have a table at the Hutchinson, MN gunshow in Sept 22nd 23rd ...pickup at the show is a possibility.

This is the sales add for WC857

A slow burning ball type powder developed for the .50BMG tracer ammo. This powder burns faster than the typical WC860 thru WC872 series of
powders. This powder has not been released as a canister powder. Loads can be worked up using H-870 or AA-8700 data, less 10%. Burning rate seems to be
similar to Hodgdon H1000 or Reloder 25. An excellent choice for the .300 Win Mag, 7mm Mag, and other magnum type calibers. Good results in .25-06 with heavy bullets. This is pulldown ball powder from Lake City.

7383 is a spooky powder, it deserves lots of reading, before you start pouring (I never did start pouring).
Jim (a member here who hasn't posted in a while) has published several articles about 7383 at "Floyd Files". This might be one of the most important ones to read.
    https://floydpics.wordpress.com/2014...-for-amatuers/
search through that site for more articles.
Also, there are several threads in castboolits, just type "7383" into Google custom search.

    .....
I had plans to use the WC857 in 375 H&H...but sold the gun before I got to loading any with WC857. I do have a 30-06 and it should work good in that with heavy cast...but I have other powders to use first, so I never got to using WC857.
    .....
I have just decided to lighten my powder magazine, it recently got a lot heavier.

WC857 has been good to me in the 6mm/284. Almost a little slow, but accurate and easy to measure.
