    Lyman 525

Got out today on one of those dog days of summer. Decided to take out the old Savage 210 just wanted to see if the scope was still on.
I needed a slight adjustment, the first shot was high and left, dialed it down and went for the group fired this flurry and put the gun away ( didn't want to jinx anything). It was 50 yrds off hand. The recovered slugs looked great expanded nicely and the wax stayed intact in the hollow base the backstop is coarse sand and penetration was about 12 in.
Didn't get to shoot the 100 today, a good excuse for another trip.

    I agree
If what you want is a 50 yard gun, that is looking real good

The 210 is a outstanding gun sold mine and wish It was still here. I shot probably over a 1000 of the Lyman 525 through mine and loaded about every brand 2 3/4” and 3 “ hulls I could get ahold of and about a dozen different wads with the Lyman 525. The best luck I had with my 210 was with a Remington 3 inch Nitro Hull loaded with steel and blue dot powders and put the Lyman 525 in a Winchester AA12F114 wad. If you really want to see some 50 yard groups out of it try some Lyman.735 round ball loads. That is a great 50 yard group

Were the slugs cast from soft lead? Hard to tell for sure but the skirt looks like it slugged up cylindrical from tapered on those recovered slugs.

Nice group for sure. If it does that, or close, every time that gun and load are keepers!

It'll be interesting to see how they do at 100 yards.

Those slugs are killers and that's good grouping for sure. Nice job smokeeter. I move mine around 1400 fps and can shoot a 3" group at 100 off a rest. Recoil not bad at that pace.
