That saeco #352 is about as good as it gets for .35 cal. I use it exclusively in my .356 Win.

I have two bear hunts booked through Outdoor Access. I plan to use my 358 Win Model 70 and a 35 Rem Model 7. Hopefully I have similar success with some of Rooterpig's cast bullets.

    Thanks, Dinny

A bear runs thirty yards after being hit from thirty yards away. Think I'll shoot some paper.

That's pretty common with black bear unless they are shot in the backbone and instantly paralyzed.

Nicely done. Black bear meat is prized in our house for summer sausage and brined/smoked hams. I don’t have the time required to hunt them here so have to rely on friends that do for meat, it’s usually pretty easy to talk them out of it since “no one eats bear”

My son actually prefers black bear meat over venison. We eat it as mostly burgers and homemade brats.
