    The Lyman C press

Now that they've been announced and I imagine some sold, How are they doing. I kinda like the looks and sturdiness of them. Is the ram solid in it's travel or a bit wobbly like the Lee C press?

I'm interested in how a C-frame handles compound leverage.

Mine has assisted in loading a thousand rounds of 270 since May of this year. It is smooth, open and accessible, and takes up little space. No wobble in the ram. Very happy with it.

My only complaint about the press is small. Unless you use a Ram Prime or similar system, there is no priming on the press. The ram is also center drilled with a chute to the front of the ram halfway down to drop primers into the spent primer cup. Because of this, the gas check lifter rod for PatMarlin Checkmaker dies will not lift the gas check out of the forming die. I have to take the forming die off the press ram and push the lifter rod through the die to get the check out. It slows the process but is manageable.
