    .45 Colt 'Keeper load'

Finally my Blackhawk is back and Burris FF3 mounted. Had high hopes for a NOE .453-230 grain rnfp tumble lube design, 2 coats of bll. My Lee powder measure will 'throw either 5.4 grains or 5.8 grains of Hodgdon Clays. I will repeat this again with a clean gun, but looks like a keeper for sure!Click image for larger version.

7.5" large frame Blackhawk. Now that the Red Dot is sighted in I will shoot at 25 yards. Wanted the RD for whitetail hunting this Fall. Then back to 'irons.

nice shooting, my load i shoot in my pair of heritage big bore revolvers 45 colt is i cast out of a old single cavity lyman mold part# 454 190 which now they make it in a double cavity now but then these drop out at around .458-.459 so what i do is lube these with lee alox and let dry on wax paper then i run these thru a lee sizer at .457 and then recoat these with a second coat of lee alox and let dry once again! then i load these with 6.8grs of greendot powder and then i take baby powder and coat the exposed part of the bullet sticking out of the case so dirt won't stick to them! and these shoot extremely well in both pistols with no leading and no issues infact i run these in both of my rifles i have which are rossi r92's in 45 colt one large loop with saddle ring the other standard loop 16in barrels and these loads work extremely well in these rifles as well!!

    Maybe he is in Australia.
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.

Well, the target IS upside down as is the writing on it, so we'll assume that they were upside down...
